Accommodation
Blocks of rooms and/or guaranteed rates for TIES attendees have been reserved at the university and at a number of hotels in Kelowna. Conference participants should contact the hotel or university directly to make a reservation. Please note that the release date for the rooms varies between the different accommodation options. All rates are quoted in Canadian funds. Kelowna is a popular summer destination and early reservation of accommodation is highly recommended.

The University of British Columbia Okanagan
UBC Okanagan offers modern and affordable hotel-like accommodation right on campus. Lodging on the retreat-like campus is available through the block of rooms reserved until May 8, 2008. Most rooms have a private washroom. All rooms come with bed linens, towels, soap and a drinking glass. Rooms with kitchens do not have utensils supplied except in the Deluxe category rooms. Check-in time is 3:00 PM; check-out time is 11:00 AM.
The above room rates include continental breakfast during the conference period Monday June 9 to Friday June 13. Lunch will be supplied and covered by your conference registration fee. On-campus food services are limited during the summer months. Opportunities to participate in group dining in the city of Kelowna or on campus will be coordinated by the conference organizers. City bus service from downtown Kelowna to the campus is also available.

Participants reserving at the Manteo and Grand Okanagan should plan to arrange their own transportation to campus.
